Site Instrumentation Inspector – Angola

  • Monitor all aspects of Quality Control relative to instrumentation and control equipment during construction to ensure adherence to the COMPANY technical requirements and applicable codes.
  • Provide expertise to site team to avoid/resolve quality problems.
  • Provide early warning of potential quality problems and ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed
  • Provide weekly input to the QMS reporting system, with regards to trends and unresolved exceptions and problems.
  • Review and approve EPCI Contractor instrument work for all construction for quality and adherence to design requirements.
  • Review EPCI Contractor procedures, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and other technical and quality documents as required. Ensures that all testing requirements identified in COMPANY specifications are addressed in the EPCI Contractor ITPs. Review and comment as necessary on EPCI Contractor deliverables related to ITPs.
  • Attend and witness testing associated with instrument and controls equipment and systems.  Typical tests include loop checks, and other instrumentation and control QC activities as designated on the approved Inspection Test Plan for the EPCI Contractor and subcontractors.
  • Verify that all testing procedures have been approved and are on site.  Confirm testing parameters are duly recorded and that testing equipment is calibrated.
  • Review or witness in process and hold point inspection during construction in accordance with the EPCI Contractor’s ITP.
  • Witness acceptance tests and final quality checks prior to acceptance as appropriate.
  • Verify all instrument and control systems are built in accordance to the design and verify against approved drawings.
  • Ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed out prior to acceptance of the work.
  • Assist in Verification, Monitoring and Close-out of Punch Lists;
  • Review Contractor’s completion files for accuracy and adequacy.
